WARNING! Unsupported Mac OS Instructions on Updating vs Upgrade

Your Mac is running an unsupported install of MacOS. This enables you to continue to use your Mac Technology for longer than Apple wants you to use it. This is supported by an App called OpenCore which makes Apple think you have a current Mac and allows the updates for your MacOS to continue. As of September 15th 2025 Apples newest release of MacOS 26 will break your Mac. Because your MacOS will continue to need updates you need to pay attention on what to choose in updating. Below are two images that show you what to click and not to click on the software update window.

In summary only click on Update. Don’t click on Upgrade.

Uh-Oh - If you already clicked upgrade to MacOS 26 then your computer will show the MacOS login screen but your mouse and keyboard will be unresponsive. Call Mac to Mac Service and schedule a recovery apointment.

Don't Panic and don't use time machine restore!
